Sample Presentation Topics
My presentations cover a wide range of topics and are appropriate for large groups of students or faculty. Typically, I use power-point slides as visuals, a speaking style that promotes audience participation and an open-ended invitation for questions. At the end of speaking engagements, I provide handouts of relevant materials for all participants. Presentations are appropriate for general academic audiences or may be tailored for specific subgroupssuch as members of a particular department, or academics in a specific career phase.
For groups of less than 30 people, I prefer to use a workshop format. Single session workshops cover the same material as presentations, but involve interactive group exercises and increased individual participation.
